Yay TV commercials. I had no idea there was a new Pink Floyd album. It's been out since Tuesday. I don't know what they paid for the 15 second commercial on Spike, but they got my $30 pretty much 20 seconds after I saw the ad.

Pink Floyd meaning David Gilmour*? Or was Richard Wright involved before his death?
*Nick Mason is a world class car guy but let's face it he's not exactly a driving creative force in the band

I still haven't picked it up yet but I've liked what I've listened to so far. Soon .

Richard Wright is on the album too. A bunch of the music was written back around the time of The Division Bell and then more recently re-recorded.

how is it? I love Floyd and saw the Division Bell tour in person when I was in college, but it wasn't their best work.

I'll reserve judgement since I haven't heard it, but the Division Bell was really bad. If this is stuff left on the cutting floor of the Bell, I have no real hope it's worth listening to. I'm a fan having seen the Animals tour, Waters three times, and Gilmour. Comfortably Numb remains the greatest guitar solo of all times.

I saw the Division Bell tour in college too. It's not my favorite album by a long shot, but I'm glad I got to see them live.
I've also seen Roger Waters live on at least 3 separate occasions, most recently doing The Wall. I doubt there will be a new PF tour, but if there is, I'll be there.

I'd say it's one of the best... but the king of guitar solos was Jimi Hendrix..

No doubt, as a fellow lefty I hold James Marshall in high regard. However in my mind the best ever was Frank Zappa, due to the complexity of his music and incredible depth of his catalogue.
